How credits work

  • Reading credits: 1 credit = up to 20 words simplified
  • Practice credits: Each credit powers one AI-generated exercise
  • Audio credits: 1 credit = 20 words of high-quality Cloud TTS audio in readings. Audio is cached temporarily in your browser — not stored on our servers. Available for the Power tier.
  • Dictionary lookups = 0 credits (always free)
  • 50% of unused credits roll over to the next day
Pricing FAQ

Billing, plans, and credits

Quick answers about how charges, refunds, and daily credits work.

Lexora bills monthly or annually depending on the plan you choose. Your card is charged the day you subscribe and on the same date each subsequent billing cycle. Annual plans save about 25% versus paying monthly. All charges appear on your statement as Lexora Languages.

You can cancel anytime from your account settings. We offer a prorated refund within 14 days of your initial paid purchase if Lexora isn't a fit. After that, canceled subscriptions stay active until the end of the current billing period — you keep access through that date, but no further refund is issued for unused time.

Yes. You can change plans anytime from your account page. Upgrades take effect immediately and are prorated against your current billing cycle, so you only pay the difference for the remaining days. Downgrades take effect at the end of your current billing cycle, so you keep your higher-tier features until the period ends.

Yes — 50% of unused reading, practice, and audio credits carry over to the next day. The 50% cap prevents indefinite stockpiling, so a missed day softens the reset, but the daily limits still mean something. Credits don't accumulate beyond a single day's rollover.

Free includes 50 daily reading credits (about 1,000 words simplified), one active language, and full access to vocabulary tracking, dictionary lookups, SRS review, browser-based TTS, and reading history. It does not include AI-generated practice exercises or high-quality cloud audio — those are reserved for paid plans. Free credits reset overnight, with the standard 50% rollover.
